HH Livestock is located north of Clandonald, Alberta, Canada. It’s owner, Heather Haydock, is no stranger to the purebred Shorthorn breed. Heather grew up on a mixed cattle and grain farm – Matlock Stock Farm.

Heather was a very active 4-H member both in her club, district, and regional levels. Heather attended the University of Saskatchewan where she completed her Bachelor of Sciences in Agriculture Degree in 2006. After university, Heather continued to help with the family farm and work at a feedlot in east central Alberta. In the fall of 2006, Heather flew to New Zealand as an International Agricultural Exchange Trainee. Heather worked on a 570 head dairy farm. After spending 6 months milking cows, Heather completed her training in Australia. Heather worked on a cattle stud that raised purebred Charolais, Charbray, and Mandalong Special cattle. The experience of working overseas gave Heather a practical education in agriculture that no university text book could. Heather learned the importance of making sure that the type of cattle raised match the resources at hand and the importance of crossbreeding. Heather returned home in 2007. Once home, she continued to raise cattle while working full time in the Agriculture retail sector.

In March of 2010, Heather moved to the Clandonald area. Since then the HH purebred herd has been enhanced with several females from Y Lazy Y Shorthorns, Crooked Post Shorthorns, and Matlock Stock Farm. Heather looks forward to raising purebred Shorthorn Cattle that meet the needs of the commercial cattleman.
